Morihito Otogi, a high school student from a lineage of monsters, lives a peaceful, normal life until his childhood friend Nico moves in with him. Nico is a witch, and she chooses Morihito to be her familiar. Nico is delighted to be reunited with and fall in love with her old friend, and Morihito is tasked with the dangerous task of protecting her from a predicted disaster.
